Santa Clara Athletics, in partnership with INFLCR, has officially launched the Santa Clara NIL Exchange – a brand new comprehensive Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) platform that provides the opportunity for Bronco student-athletes and interested outside parties to connect directly for NIL partnerships, endorsements and opportunities.
"We are excited to raise our partnership with INFLCR to the next level," said Santa Clara Director of Athletics Renee Baumgartner. "As we continue to build our NIL program at Santa Clara, our goal has always been to provide as many opportunities as possible to our student-athletes. INFLCR's ability to connect Bronco student-athletes directly to the Silicon Valley business community is the next evolution in achieving that goal."
The Santa Clara NIL Exchange is just the latest addition to Santa Clara's ongoing efforts of supporting NIL opportunities for their student-athletes, along with the Mission NIL. The exchange will serve as the central marketplace for all NIL information, education, opportunities and reporting. The platform allows for all interested businesses and parties to work directly with Bronco student-athletes for brand-focused activities. All potential partnerships must follow Santa Clara University NIL protocols and will be approved in advance by the Santa Clara Athletics Compliance department.
"We are excited to partner with Santa Clara Athletics to support their student-athletes on their NIL journeys," said INFLCR General Manager Sean Kelly. "The launch of the Santa Clara NIL Exchange will unlock student-athletes ability to monetize their brands, connecting them with NIL partnerships at the local and national level."
NIL opportunities and activities may include autographs, personal appearances, social media product promotions, running camps and clinics, and much more. After a quick online registration through the exchange's online portal, interested businesses, collectives and individuals will be granted access to a searchable database for all Santa Clara student-athletes. They will then be able to reach out directly to any athlete or athletes of their choosing to begin NIL opportunity discussions.
The Santa Clara NIL Exchange is a free platform that is available to all Bronco student-athletes. In addition to having the ability to work directly with businesses through the exchange, all athletes will also have access to INFLCR's content delivery system. The system allows them to easily access photos, videos and other media content that bolsters their online presence. The system also provides valuable analytical data to help the student-athletes measure their audience engagement.
The Santa Clara NIL Exchange also includes a payment processing tool which allows for student-athletes to receive compensation securely after each transaction, and creates a 1099 form that lives within each of the student-athletes INFCLR app portfolios for more efficient tax reporting.
Santa Clara is just the latest athletics department to partner with INFLCR, who has quickly become the national leader in athlete brand building, NIL opportunity creation and content management. Its platforms are currently used by more than 3,500 collegiate and professional sport teams.
